For centuries, those who are evil have been trying to annihilate the Jewish people. Around 470 BC a Persian Empire official devised a plan to do exactly that. He hated the Jews and ordered that all the Jews in the empire were to be killed, but God had other plans. The King’s queen (Esther), a Jewess, told the King of the plan, Haman was executed, and the Jews were given permission to defend themselves.

In the 1940s Hitler tried to exterminate all the Jews. The US and its allies were able to stop him.

History tends to repeat itself, especially when at least one side seeks an unrestricted response to hateful and genocidal attacks on its people. Israel’s history of enemy nations seeking to eliminate its existence continues today.

On October 7th, a precise, organized attack was carried out by Iran-backed Hamas.  They invaded Israel, destroying property and brutally killing an estimated 1,200 Israeli civilians. The vicious attackers committed atrocious acts, raping and demonizing women and children in an unspeakable manner. They took several hundred hostages for the purpose of gaining unrealistic demands in future negotiations. Israel declared war on Hamas on 9 October.

Hamas exists because of an elective takeover of the Gaza Strip in 2007. After gaining power, tensions between Israel and Hamas escalated when Hamas started lobbing thousands of rockets on Israel and building tunnels from which to launch their terrorist attacks on Israeli citizens.  In order to shield themselves from counter attacks, Hamas used hospitals and schools to hide munitions and troops and used such places to launch its rocket attacks.   When Israel responded, Hamas proclaimed to the world -- and the mainstream media reported it as fact -- that Israel was brutally launching attacks on innocent civilians.

Following the October 7th attack, the Israeli government offered Gaza citizens several days to evacuate before they commenced their armed counterattack.  The Jewish purpose is to destroy Hamas, its military, and its sophisticated defense system, including the ultra-complex network of tunnel it uses for its nefarious activities. During the period following the evacuation truce, the Israeli invasion caused collateral damage with Arab civilians being killed or injured; caused, in large part, by Hamas embedding itself among innocent civilians.

Joe Biden is pushing for a two-state solution.  But the fallacy in trying to force this on Israel is that Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah don’t want a two-state solution, they want to overthrow and annihilate the Jews and the Jewish state.

Others demand Israel cease fire immediately accusing them of having committed war crimes, disregarding the October 7th Hamas attack on Israeli civilians.

Israel has every right to protect itself and to respond. We don’t want innocent civilians killed or injured, but we also don’t want terrorist ruling in Gaza.   We don’t have a solution; but we trust that the Lord does.  In the end, like in the days of old, He will prevail.  As he said to father Abraham, those who curse His people will themselves cursed and those who bless them, will themselves be blessed.
